Pretend that you are talking to a blind man and have to describe for him what "red" is. You should use narrative and descriptive writing techniques, and try to appeal to his other senses!
Throughout history, red is known as the color of love.  Red has been used to describe many feelings, foods, and emotions. It is all around us, and it is used to depict an active scenario. Red is a contradicting color, it can be good and bad. Although you can’t “see the color red” you certainly have felt it, tasted it, and experienced it through your other senses.
Red is the color of your blood, thus red carries oxygen to your cells and keeps you living. Red are your cheeks when you feel nervous or timid, that warm feeling of that you don’t know where to hide your face is illustrated to us a light red color in the center of your cheeks. Red is all over your body,  and just as it can mean nervousness, it could also warn for danger. In a puncture of your body, the red substance “blood” comes out of your skin to quickly clog the puncture; if it doesn’t clog it effectively the abundance of red blood can mean your bleeding out.
Just as it’s all over your body, it’s all over the world too. For example, there are hot “red” chili peppers and as their name implies, they give you a very hot sensation in your mouth, one that no liquid can suppress, until its particles are fully digested.  It is also in fruits, watermelons, a sweet and watery fruit that can be larger than any head. Oddly shaped as a large football, watermelons are green on the outside but the good ones, are bright red in the inside. They feel smooth in the outside and with a small texture in the inside. Red can determine sweet or hot in the food pyramid,  red is dangerous color since you don’t know what it will code for.
Red is the color of fury and love. When you feel the one you love, you feel butterflies in your stomach indicating that you’re in love. This emotion can be depicted as a red heart, our culture (at least) sees red as the color for love. Contradicting love, red is also known as fury, endless anger to a certain person or thing for insulting or disobeying you.  Your face turns red when fury overwhelms your body, and that’s when we know that you are furious.
Red is a contradicting color. It can represent love or hate, it can represent sweet or hot, it can represent good and bad. Red is all around us, in our bodies in the outside world. Red is a beautiful color that everyone experiences. Although you can’t see red you have felt it and lived it. Those who can’t feel have seen it, one way or another we all have experienced this one way or another.

How does competition function in our society? To what extent is it healthy/unhealthy? Offer some real world examples taken from your life, community, culture, state, nation, or world.
Competition functions in our society in several areas: politics, business, education, in the measurement of success, defined by society, and in other aspects of life. Competition can function in our society as both a motive and as something that inhibits output.
Healthy competition functions to give motive to people in which one would otherwise be uninspired and usually has a positive impact upon society. Competition is “healthy” to the extent where the competitors still have the capability to function to their maximum potential. For example, in rural areas, healthy competition between small businesses serves to promote small business, thereby boosting the economy.
However, competition can be unhealthy if the main purpose of it is to simply undermine the other competitor or if one competitor has an unfair advantage over the other. For example, competition between interest groups in politics can sometimes be so great that any productivity is inhibited.

How have you taken something that you have learned in the classroom and integrated it into your nonacademic life?
Language is a commonly underrated and not admired as what it is. A wonderful tool of communication, the mere fact that you can understand what I’m writing here is impressive enough to evoke a feeling of awe. Language is a requirement in our schools, since we start until we end. Although it can seem a bit redundant, I appreciate language because it most directly affects my every day non academic life.
To me, diction is the greatest single factor that greatly contributes to the way one articulates oneself. I used to say “you too” for nearly everything when someone wished me a nice day, a good night, a happy holidays, I would simply respond “you too”. Now, thanks to my language classes, I respond likewise more often. To me, it sounds more educated/proper, compared to the usage of “you too” it is a rare word that not many individuals use. I, on the other hand, am proud to use it and illustrate my diction’s superiority simply because I took my language class.
Syntax is also a fairly new word that I learned on my Junior year, I am sure I will be varying my syntax for the rest of my life, now that I understand what it is. Syntax can alter the responses from your readers, still getting the same message across. For example, I can say “scientists abused 100 monkeys”, and I will evoke a feeling of anger. If I say, “100 monkeys where abused by scientists”, I will evoke a feeling of sadness. Although I am clearly saying the same message, I evoke different emotional responses from my audiences.
I enjoy integrating my academic learning to my non-academic life, since it strengthens what I already have learned. I enjoy having a more concise power of articulating myself, and I enjoy having the capability of controlling how my audience will respond to my statements. I commonly integrate both new diction and enhanced syntax to my non-academic life, that way I can exemplify their results and acquire more experience on the matter.

If you could go back in time and be someone in history, who would you choose to be? Why?
If I could go back in time and be someone in history, I would choose to be President Abraham Lincoln. This President greatly affected this nation and although his life was lost, I admire his accomplishments. Nevertheless, I would establish the same rule he did, and If possible I would not attend the theater in which he got assassinated. I admire his bravery, his dedication, and support for the union.
President Abraham Lincoln was brave enough to act against slavery, which was a majorly controversial issue for both the Union and Confederacy of the time. He was brave to issue the emancipation proclamation and directly act against the southerners who already despised him. Lincoln was not afraid to do what had to be done, despite the danger he place himself with. Doubtlessly, if I had the opportunity to go back in time, I would choose a brave character like Abraham Lincoln.
Lincoln was also a surprisingly dedicated man. He continued to attack the confederacy “dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal”. Abraham Lincoln had a cause for the war, a valid cause. Many other presidents wage war for a ridiculous reason playing with the lives of American soldiers. In the United States of America, we are taught that revenge is never good; yet, in 2001 former President George W. Bush waged war against Afghanistan for “revenge purposes”. Although Lincoln’s war had substantially more casualties, his war had a purpose of racial equality.
Nevertheless, Lincoln gave great support to its nation. Best illustrated in “Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address” where he encouraged the nation to continue on fighting for his just purposes. I admire his support and dedication to the nation, and although he wrongfully predicted that “the world will no longer remember” what he said, he still thought his motives were strong enough to continue on fighting.
If I could go back in time and become someone in history, without hesitance I would become Abraham Lincoln. He has multiple traits that I admire in humans, and I believe he strongly resembles who I am. I would like to live what he lived, and I would greatly enjoy mimicking his presidency. Abraham Lincoln was a true hero to this nation, and who wouldn’t like to be a hero?

If you had the responsibility to decide where $1 million should be spent to improve conditions somewhere in the world, what project(s) would you choose? Why?
If I had the responsibility to decide where $1 million dollars would go, I would choose a location that is currently under-going political reform such as Greece or Egypt, in order to further develop a form of government that promotes freedom, equality and the basic ideals that the majority of their society supports.
Since you cannot pay corrupt government officials to do their job for the amount of time necessary to recreate a system of government, I would donate the money to the people in need in that country. This would enable able them to continue to do their job as citizens without having to be concerned with what they will eat or where they will sleep.
I would not provide the $1 million dollars through a particular project or through any organization, since doing so would increases the possibility of the money being used for some other purpose other than my own. Therefore, I would personally and directly spend the money in ways that would benefit the basic needs of the people. Although, my money would not cover the basic needs of those people for long, it would at least help them to create a government where the politicians would be concerned about the poor. This would be more beneficial than helping people of a country, such as the U.S. that would most likely send people to another to be killed in order to prevent the establishment of a government that promotes equality in the form of communism.
I believe this donation would be the most beneficial to our current society since my contribution would not only serve an immediate purpose in assisting the reformers with their needs, but also assisting the citizens in general with a long term goal of creating a better society for future generations.

If you could introduce one new idea or material thing to a primitive culture, what would it be?
In order to choose what “new” idea to introduce to a “primitive” culture, one must first define what is considered a “new” idea and whether or not the system that the “primitive’ culture has in place is any better or worse than the “new” systems we could possibly put in its’ place.
From our perspective, “new” means something that the primitive culture has not experienced. There are multiple things primitive cultures do not experience in their early stages, such as, a widening gap between the rich and the poor, excessive violence, advanced technology dissociating us from one another, economic troubles, and other faults of modern day society.
Of course, there are many advantages to modern day society that in our eyes make up for the disadvantages, such as the various ways to communicate and modern sanitation systems. Yet, I feel that on a whole, primitive societies have much more to offer to us than what we could ever possibly offer the primitive societies. For example, since we have “progressed” as a society, from being a primitive society, we have experienced a Civil War, two World Wars, depressions, a murder rate of approximately 12,000 deaths a year, and ,something devasting for all species that live on this earth, , global warming. We as a a whole, have developed these and many other events that no primitive society could have possible developed. Primitive societies are clearly more environmentally beneficial, and non violent that ours today.
The basic emotions and elements of life that we as an advanced society try so hard to experience, such as happiness, peace, and love must have been effortlessly found in primitive cultures without the modern distractions that we, as an advanced society, have. I do not believe that a primitive society would need any help from a society where we throw so much away when there are people in dire need so close-by. Instead of believing that we are better than  a “primitive” society, we need to learn from what history has to offer: as societies have progressed, we have become more violent.
This does not mean that we should revert back to a primitive culture, but rather that we should “enjoy the little things” and the parts of life that we so easily overlook. For example, there are many positive activities that occur in society which the media chooses not to cover. Instead we constantly see murder, rape and violence on the news. This promotes a sense of negativity and paranoia where happiness and positive emotions can be difficult to grow. As an alternative to being influenced by the media, we can try to focus on positive things as a society and, in that sense, be similar to primitive society.

If you were to describe yourself using a quotation, what would that quotation be? After you have chosen a quote, then write a bit about how it relates to you and reveals what kind of person you are.
If I were to describe myself using a quotation, it would be “I am what I want because I can.” To me, this quotation means that I can be whatever I want because I have the ability to be whatever I want. The present tense of this quote also implies that I can be content with who I am instead of trying to conform to society feels is correct. This is a very inspirational quotation because rarely does society tell you that you can be whatever you want.
Usually you are restricted by society’s limitations whether that means your parent’s limitations, economic limitations that do not allow you to have a job, or even your own personal limitations due to insecurities. The pressure of society can inhibit you both in economy and in pressure from the media.
This quotation relates to me in many ways. For example, because I am Latino, I feel that society expects that I will not be in a position of power or that I will not be considered “successful” by society. Yet this quotation helps me to believe that I have the capability to do whatever I want to do no matter what society believes. Also, it is becoming harder than ever to maintain a well-paying job in this economy and to be under the impression that I can still do whatever I want through this quotation gives me confidence.
This quotation I believe shows that I have pride in who I am and that I am confident that I can do and become whatever I want.

Given the authority to establish a holiday, what would you choose to commemorate? Why? What would the celebration look like?
If I had the authority to establish a holiday, I would choose to celebrate a world-wide day of peace where we commemorate individuals and movements that promoted peace. I believe that instead of celebrating a day like Thanksgiving, where we as a society celebrate a feast that happened to be simultaneous to an event that began the massacres of thousands, we should try to celebrate a time of peace due to the rareness of peace in the world. I doubt there has been one day in history where someone has not died due to violence. If, for one day, all violent activity would stop, I feel that that would be an incredible accomplishment for the world.
This holiday would be celebrated by a world-wide parade where we would all march down the streets as a united group for a single purpose, world peace.  There would be no school, no work, and doubtlessly no war. Societies throughout the globe would try and be more thoughtful of one another this day of world peace and like most holidays it would be a time where family and friends attempted to set aside their differences and get along.
Although this might seem slightly cliché at first consideration, I strongly believe world peace is a plausible goal even though it goes against human nature. In order to achieve some level of world peace, we must learn to rise above narrow-minded thinking and the natural tendency to commit violent acts. Although, some form of conflict, such as arguments or personal issues, will be inevitable, I feel that as a society we can learn to prevent further all-out war. I also believe that a national day of peace could be a first step in that direction.
On this day, people would learn to enjoy life the way it is and be grateful for what we have. For example, instead of seeking war with a country so that we can install a government that sells us oil at a cheaper price, we could perhaps use the money that would have funded the war to find an eco-friendly alternative to fossil fuels. People would avoid the emotional roots of violence, such as hate, anger and greed.
Overall, I would choose to celebrate a day where people seek peace with themselves and with one another. This is something I feel we lack as a society. If we all strive towards the goal of global peace by putting aside our causes of conflict, I trust we will be able to achieve that goal.

What is the best advice you've ever received? Explain.
The best advice I have ever received is “Be yourself no matter what, okay?” since not being yourself is the root of most human problems. For example, fear of not being yourself, insecurities of who you are when you compare yourself to someone you’re not, anger at being someone you’re not, and several other complications arise when you are not yourself. However, in order to be yourself, you must first know who you are. This is a problem for most teenagers who have not yet defined themselves and are trying to be someone they are not.
A person defines themselves through their choices and the actions they choose to make. We make choices based on what we have been exposed to, and our opinions based on what we have those experiences. Most of what we are exposed to and what we experience are the responsibilities of our parents. Therefore, our parents are indirectly responsible for who we are as individuals. Even though many children choose to disobey their parents and do the opposite of what they are told, they are still being influenced by them.
How you define yourself influences your religious beliefs, political views, what you say, your day-to-day decisions, and many other aspects of your life. Once you define yourself, the difficulty becomes staying true to who you are. In many occupations, such as an attorney, one can be presented with the choice to compromise themselves and their beliefs to earn money or to gain power and control in some way. These circumstances are a chance to prove who we are and how strong we believe what we believe. We must learn how to go about our lives and still stay true to ourselves in order to be truly happy.
Sometimes, we may hear of an idea that completely shatters the basis of what we believe in. In this case, we are forced to be more open minded in order to be secure of ourselves. However, if one continues to believe in that which was shattered without any logical support of it, eventually they will learn that they were wrong to believe in that idea. Therefore, there are some characteristics that are expected of all human beings which we must include into who we are in order to be better individuals. We as a society decide what those characteristics are. For example, each of us expects a mutual respect from people we do not know. When an individual does not extend respect, that individual is considered rude by society. However, people should not be forced to conform to the characteristics society believes is “acceptable,” but only to those that do not take away the natural rights and respect that all humans deserve.
For these reasons, it is important to define yourself accurately to what you believe based on what you have been exposed to. In order to be content, one must be true to who they are, once they have defined themselves as so.

Your life is a movie. Describe the first 15 minutes.
The first 15 minutes of my life is me traveling across the world trying to find out a good place to live at. I travel across 2 countries trying to find a suitable place. I exemplify Goldi- Locks, too hot, too cold, and just right. In the first 15 minutes of my life I travel a lot, and I seek a good place to pursue my education.
Although I finally found my  “just right” I am still trying to settle down for different reasons. I do not know how long my life will last, therefore I do not know when the 15 minutes will be over. But I do know, that I have no regrets of what my life has been so far. I have enjoy the instability, but for obvious reasons like friendships and education i would much rather prefer to settle down.
My life has been constantly altered, and dramatically changed from one day to another. Luckily for me, I am approaching the end of my 15 minutes, so now I will have the authority to make decisions for myself. I appreciate living my first 15 minutes safe and sound, and I have learned from all of my mistakes. Doubtlessly, I am excited to see the climax of the movie!

Write a letter to your future college roommate introducing yourself and your background.
Hello, I am Santos Vazquez. I can be amiable when I’m in a pleasant environment. I’m okay with being treated the way I treat you, I actually prefer that. I am Mexican, I studied in Tijuana Mexico until I was finished with my 1st semester in 3rd grade and then I moved to St. Paul Minnesota. There, I attended Eisenhower elementary school for 6 months. In those 6 months I learned most of the English I know.
When I finished 3rd grade in Minnesota, I moved to San Diego where I started 4th grade in Mendoza Elementary school. I finished 4th grade in the same school and started 5th grade; but, for the second semester of 5th grade I moved to Henderson Nevada (3 miles away from Las Vegas), where I was promoted from James I. Gibson elementary into middle school. However, after promotion I moved back to Mendoza elementary where I had to attend elementary for 6th grade since in California elementary doesn’t end until after 6th grade (in Nevada it ends after 5th grade). The point is, that I had 2 elementary promotions. Since then, I have stayed on San Diego Area, First Mar Vista middle for 7th , then Castle Park Middle for 8th, and Castle Park High for my entire High School.
On another note, I believe I am a perfectionist, maybe not for school (like blogs) but I am very organized and I like my room to be as clean/ presentable as possible, even if no one will see it but me. I like having long lasting friendships and I respect other people’s space. I am a very private individual, I do not like to be controlled. I enjoy being busy (to a certain extent of course), but I love having well earned free time. I am Santos Vazquez, and I am what I want because I can.

Please describe your reactions/ideas to the following quote: "He does not possess wealth, it possesses him."
The quote, “He does not possess wealth, it possesses him,” implies that wealth is something that one cannot control, but rather that one can be controlled by the idea of gaining wealth. If wealth means being in control of what is considered enough money, then wealth is unobtainable since it is human nature not to be satisfied with what we have already acquired/reached. This is especially true in American society since we have abundantly more resources than most countries, yet the large majority of us are not grateful for what we have.
If wealth is unobtainable, then the idea of having wealth does not exist. Conversely, many people relate the concept of being wealthy to being successful. Most parents wish for their children to have a “successful” job where they make money and become “wealthy.” Yet this quote demonstrates how the majority in our society, including parents, define success as something that could not be further from the truth. If an individual defines “success” as having wealth, then in that case success does not exist. This brings up the question: what is success?
Personally, I believe success is achieving your goals in life. If we establish our goal in life to be wealthy, then we would inevitably chase after an illusion of success. Therefore, each of us must adapt our goals to something that is within grasp and with the capability to provide us with happiness if we wish to be happy in life.
Success is not something that can be measured as most of society believes. Either you are successful and happy or you are not. Ironically most people that are not successful are people that chased after an illusion of success. Eventually, those people realize that materialistic ideals are destructive beliefs that lead us away from true happiness, a kind of happiness experienced in simplicity with those who loves us. Wealth is one of those material items that individuals in our society tend to cling on to and are obsessed by the thought of obtaining it.
Greed is an emotion that can so often take control of an individual and the individual does not have the mental and moral strength to overcome that emotion. Although, this is a natural problem, it is a problem nonetheless and each of us must learn to overcome this problem of “greed” so that we are not possessed by the illusion of success or wealth.

What is the most valuable contribution you could make to a college campus? Explain.
The most valuable college contribution I could do is assist the science department into acquiring a breakthrough. Scientific breakthroughs are the most needed, both for the economy and its research. Although I am not a big “science fan” If I attempted to, I am certain I could contribute in the science field. I would help ongoing research and try to prove their hypothesis. I believe this will be the most significant contribution, since I will have the capability to help them the most.
First of all, science is a greatly supported department now days. There are many diseases, and issues on our planet, and multiple laboratories working day and night to repel these attacks on our civilization. If I successfully assist my college’s laboratory into concluding their research, I can open a window for larger companies or individuals to fund further research. To many scientists, funding is the only source of income. If a laboratory does not produce any desirable results, their funding might be cut and entire studies might be lost. If I help my college produce results, its’ science department will be very grateful.
In addition to funding, the results I could possibly obtain can be extraordinary. For example, there are hundreds of labs working to find a cure to HIV. By assisting my college’s lab to find a cure for something, I will also be helping the entire world which has been my dream since I was a child. Doubtlessly, a great contribution to any college is fame, and logically finding the cure to a deadly disease will bring fame upon the college. Therefore, I will greatly contribute to my college by bringing fame to the college through finding the cure to a deadly disease. I can satisfy both my dreams, and contribute to my college at the same time.
Science is also a very fun field. Knowing that there is no right or wrong can at times relief the stress. Although I doubt I will ever become a scientist, striving for results can be difficult. I know contributing to my college through science is rather difficult, but I know that it is the most efficient way to do so. If I can successfully prove something the world needs, my college will doubtlessly benefit from that. Then, I will obviously have greatly contributed to my college.

Explain a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dillema you have faced and its impact on you.
A significant achievement I have done is completing the “Great American Challenge”. I completed the “Great American Challenge” in Henderson Nevada in 5th grade. It was extremely difficult to complete since it consisted of 6 rigorous requisites. In exchange, I received a frame and a medal with my name on them at the time of my promotion (in Nevada you get promoted in 5th grade not 6th like in California).

What is the “Great American Challenge”? This challenge was introduced to our 5th grade class as a source of extra credit, me however (fairly new to American history) became immediately interested as a source of knowledge to strengthen my background. Out of 90 students, 5 accomplished this challenge, but what makes the challenge so rigorous? I had to memorize the star spangled banner, spell the pledge of allegiance with no grammatical mistakes, memorize the preamble of the United States Constitution and Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburgh address; also, I had to learn the 43 presidents in chronological order (at the time 2006) and the 50 states and capitals in alphabetical order. All this had to be memorized within a 2 week period.
Hopefully I have exemplified how difficult it was for me to accomplish this challenge, considering I had only known the English language for approximately 2 years. But how did this impact me? It did not until my high school life, in many of my classes including history and English. We looked into presidents, states, and the civil war; it was all relatively easy since I already knew the content. I simply had to complete the assignments. Also, it provided me with more detail about our constitution and the civil war than many of my peers. I am proud to have completed this challenge, it brings back good memories and shows me that this is all possible.

Discuss some issue of personal, local, national, or international concern and its importance to you.
Locally, Castle Park High School is continuously harassed by our media. This assault concerns me since I attend this school and one of its prestigious academic programmes. I have attended Castle Park High School for 3 years, and proudly plan to continue attending until graduation. Sadly, despite our hard efforts to be successful global citizens, we now fear that our efforts will be dismissed after colleges and universities generalize who we are due to the bias-publications the media continue to do on our campus.
After a report at SignOnSandiego.com Castle Park High School’s staff and students have been harassed by reporters in order to continue to negatively publicize our school. The media seeks strictly negative information to publish; If the media obtains positive details about this campus they dismiss them. For example, according to a credible CPH instructor, after he was asked what he had to say regarding an incident that happened on CPH, this instructor said, “Have you heard about the I.B programme?” The media immediately dismissed this question and continued to interrogate the instructor regarding only the incident.
In addition, when we visit the Sweetwater Union High School district’s website, there is a report regarding API improvements on multiple schools. Almost all schools show an equal improvement as CPHS, yet CPHS is not displayed on this report. In addition, after 30+ CPH students volunteered 10 hours of community service and made a significant difference on the LGBT community at the South Bay Pride event, the media published an article and claimed that all of us belonged to a different school. Clearly, our public media is biased and they will not give CPHS positive credit.
Our concern is, after colleges and employers do a background on us, the permanent publications of the media will inhibit us from looking promising to those interesting in hiring or electing us for anything. As an I.B student, my effort to surpass most of the world and present myself as promising to the universities becomes pointless after the bias publications regarding the school I attend will most likely generalize how I behave and greatly affect our future life. Therefore my concern is, the way our school is constantly negatively publicized, and we as a whole hope to fight off the media to stay on a narrower path to a successful future.

If you could choose two things to change about our high school campus, what would they be and why?
Castle Park High School campus is negatively publicized through the media and classified as a bad school by our community.  As an IB student, it is discouraging how our accomplishments are dismissed in order to address the actions of the few.  The criminals responsible for these unlawful actions have neither authority nor credibility to represent our entire school. An IB student should, to the eyes of society, be more credible than a criminal. If I could change two things from this campus, I would change the security and manage the students enrolled.
Our school is often negatively publicized because criminals are given the opportunity to commit crimes in our name. If I could change two things in my campus, security would be the main thing.  Mainly since more vigilant security would reduce the opportunity of criminals to commit crimes, and the added security will be capable of stopping a crime before it is committed.
Another factor greatly diminishing our success is the students who attend school simply to obey their parents. Another change I would enforce is the students that attend this campus. I would regulate those who have the capability and will to positively affect our community and separate them from those who cannot.

Should school attendance be mandatory? In your answer, be sure to explore what the function of education is, and what our nation would look like if the masses were less educated.
School attendance should not be mandatory past middle-school education. High School education is primarily to prepare students for a university education; since university is not a mandatory education, it should not be mandatory to prepare for it. Current high school exit exams are based on middle school standards, k-8 education is necessary for a sustainable life, high school is not. If the masses were less educated, I believe the world would be a better place.
Personally, I consider high school education to be a respectful way to maintain teenagers busy. In many cases, standards that are taught to high school students pertain in no way to everyday life citizens live; yet, these standards are still within the High School curriculum in order to prevent teenagers from living a troublesome life. Additionally, Although I consider High School to be of extreme benefit to the student, making it mandatory harms the education of those legitimately interested in obtaining a strong education since many people who are not interested in High School education are forced to attend and they drag the interested student down.
Although at first thought, we might believe the world will be chaotic without educated people, after serious consideration the world would benefit from having less people educated. Why? Simple, interested and dedicated people are better leaders than those uneducated. Government jobs and world leaders will be world leaders because they want to. Our world will be lead and ran by people who will try their hardest to succeed, since the people who enroll in education will be enrolled voluntarily wishing to succeed.

If you had the ability to talk to one species of animal, which animal would you choose to communicate with? Why?
Throughout history, aid from birds has always been wisely acquired. If I had the ability to communicate with one species of animal, I would choose to communicate with birds. Persian civilization has proven birds to be a valuable ally to the humans. If verbal communication with birds was a choice, it would be a major aid to espionage and surveillance.
According to National Geographic the bar-headed goose can fly up to 21,120 feet (over the Himalayas). If humans could communicate with a living organism that could feed itself and fly that high, it could supplement our national security by performing espionage missions. I would choose to talk to birds, not only to supplement our nation’s security, but to have birds inform me of upcoming natural catastrophes like hurricanes or tornadoes.
In addition, according to the travel almanac, the white-throated Needle tail has the ability to fly at speeds over 170 kilometers per hour. By having the ability to communicate with these types of birds, our nation’s surveillance could dramatically be benefited. Since birds can find their own food, or at least are easier to feed than humans, birds could be used for patrolling the borders of our nation. Such birds could also have personal uses. For example, if you forget your keys you, you could send a white-throated needle tail to get them for you efficiently.
If I could speak to birds, my life could be benefited the most out of other species. I could feed many of them easily and in exchange I could get security for my houses, my companies, and all of my other belongings. I could have fast birds run errands, and inform me of vital information. I could keep an eye on everything I own, and enhance any business I create.
